Anasazi
The Anasazi trail is a relatively easy single-track dirt trail about ½ mile in length that begins from either trail head on the north side of the Red Cliffs campground. The trail leads to an assemblage of Anasazi pit houses and other archeological ruins with interpretive displays for visitor education and enjoyment. Elevation gain from start to finish is about 30 feet. Visitors can return from the campground on the route on which they came or take the loop through the Mano or Metate trail connectors to the Red Reef East trail either back to the start or for other, more lengthy loops to the north.

- This access off the campground road is one of two trailheads that provide access to the Anasazi sites. The trail is suitable for most hikers.
- Partway up the trail, visitors will find a security gate to prevent mechanized vehicles from going to the archeological sites.
- One section of the trail entails an uphill segment of about 30 feet elevation change. Otherwise the trail is relatively level.
- Beautiful views of the surrounding red rock cliffs exist along various points of the trail.
- Upon reaching the Anasazi sites, visitors will find wooden boardwalks to help prevent degradation around the ruins.
- Visitors will also find multiple interpretive panels that help explain the type of archeological resources located here and their history.
- Wooden structures are built to protect some of the sites from weather related deterioration.
